1. Introduction

CEFX ("we," "our," or "us") operates a decentralized prediction market and reputation platform on the Base blockchain (the "Platform"). We are based in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

The short version: we collect the minimum data needed to run the Platform, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising. By using CEFX, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Blockchain Data (Public)

When you interact with CEFX smart contracts, the following is recorded on the Base blockchain and is publicly accessible:

• Your wallet address
• Transaction history including predictions, fades, and scout stakes
• Token balances, transfers, and approvals
• Prediction calls and outcomes

Blockchain data is immutable. We do not control it and cannot modify or delete it.

2.2 Off-Chain Data

• Display name and profile information you choose to provide
• Linked X account for social verification
• Prediction theses and social posts shared on the Platform
• First-party funnel telemetry and product events used to understand how people move through the Platform
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps)

2.3 Authentication

We use cryptographic wallet signatures for authentication and store session identifiers in secure, httpOnly cookies. We never have access to your private keys or seed phrases.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Operating the Platform and processing predictions
• Computing reputation scores and leaderboard rankings
• Distributing weekly emissions
• Displaying public profiles and track records
• Preventing fraud and system abuse
• Monitoring errors and improving reliability
• Sending notifications you have opted into

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We may share information only in these circumstances:

• Public blockchain data: Visible to anyone on the Base network
• Platform displays: Leaderboards, profiles, and prediction pages show wallet addresses and reputation data
• Infrastructure providers: Hosting and error-monitoring services that help us run the Platform
• Legal requirements: When required by law or court order

5. Data Retention

On-chain data is permanent due to the nature of blockchain technology.

Off-chain data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of optional profile information at any time — this does not affect blockchain records. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Security

• Cryptographic wallet signature authentication
• Secure, httpOnly session cookies
• HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Non-custodial design — we never hold your tokens or private keys
• Smart contract security reviews

You are responsible for securing your wallet and private keys. We cannot recover lost funds or reverse blockchain transactions.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your off-chain data at any time by emailing privacy@cefx.com. We will respond within 30 days.

These rights apply to off-chain data only. On-chain transactions, predictions, and reputation data are permanent and cannot be modified or removed by anyone.

8. Cookies and Tracking

• Session cookies: Secure, httpOnly cookies for authentication
• Error monitoring: Sentry for catching bugs and maintaining Platform reliability — it does not track you for advertising
• Local storage: UI preferences (theme, display settings) stored on your device only

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of ad-based tracking.

We may also collect low-cardinality first-party product telemetry such as landing-page views, connect-wallet clicks, create-call submit attempts, and other funnel events so we can measure friction and improve the experience. This data is used only to operate and improve CEFX, not for advertising.

The Platform integrates with third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

• X: Optional social verification
• Chainlink: Price oracle data
• Alchemy: RPC infrastructure and NFT data
• CoinGecko: NFT floor price data

• Yahoo Finance: Equity and commodity price data
• Twelve Data: Equity price data
• Finnhub: Equity price data
• Sentry: Error monitoring
• Permit2 (Uniswap): Token approval infrastructure

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
